Iranian Foreign Minister Plans Meeting Putin
Speaking to a news agency in Geneva after deliberations with senior European envoys, Araghchi affirmed that Iran is open to dialogue but emphasized that Israel must cease its air strikes beforehand.
When questioned about the possibility of finalizing an agreement with the United States within two weeks, Araghchi responded that it depended on whether the Trump administration was willing “to show their determination for going for a negotiated solution.”
"Or they have something else in their mind, and they want to attack Iran anyway," he added.
The Iranian diplomat implied that the U.S. “perhaps have this plan and they just needed negotiations perhaps to cover it up,” referencing Israeli military operations.
He further stated that Iran is uncertain whether the U.S. remains a reliable partner, describing the Trump administration’s conduct as a “betrayal to diplomacy.”
